Cleobella's Certifications

Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) Organic cotton:

All of our cotton is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, ensuring there is no use of genetically modified seeds, harmful pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers at every stage of the supply chain. We work with farmers in South India so our fabric does not travel far for production, and so we can verify traceability throughout our entire supply chain.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™:

Ecovero is a more sustainable viscose comparable to manufactured natural fibers like rayon and bamboo. Ecovero is derived from certified wood sources using responsible production processes that meet high environmental standards, lower emissions, and their process contributes to a cleaner planet. Our certified LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers generate up to 50% lower emissions and water compared to generic viscose.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100:

All of our Trims and sewn labels are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified which is a globally recognized testing and certification organization for textile raw materials, items undergoing production, and final products at all stages of production to ensure they are free from harmful substances and chemicals.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council):

The forest stewardship council ensures raw materials that are derived from trees are coming from responsibly and sustainably managed forests. Their standards are developed at an international level and integrated into individual countries’ legal, social, and geographical settings, through national standards.  All of our tissue paper, hang tags, and stickers are made from FSC certified acid free paper that is printed with soy based inks.

WRAP Certification:

The Wrap certification program audits facilities for complying with the 12 Wrap Principles which ensure safe, legal, and ethical manufacturing practices. Through this we can be sure our artisans are recognized for everything they have done to get all of us to this point toward progress. We have been working closely alongside our artisans for the last 14 years building our brands and businesses together. As our business has grown and matured, so has theirs. We have been fortunate to learn and improve with them and through this process we can encourage all of our factories to be accredited and certified.

BLUESIGN®:

BLUESIGN is a system that ensures safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in. BLUESIGN traces each textile’s path along the entire manufacturing process, making improvements at every stage from factory floor to finished product. BLUESIGN acts as an independent verifier to secure trust and transparency for our dyes.

Sedex:

Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade membership organizations. Sedex works with businesses to improve working conditions in global supply chains. They provide services to help businesses operate responsibly and and sustainably to protect workers and source ethically.
